Mentor Program
Our Children’s Homestead professional and volunteer mentors develop meaningful relationships with foster children so each child knows yet another adult in their OCH community cares.  The most crucial aspect of mentoring success is the quality of this child/mentor relationship. 
A mentor is:

• Teacher 
• Friend 
• Advisor
• Advocate 
• Confidant

Our Children’s Homestead (OCH) works to match each foster child with a mentor who has similar interests and assures that our children have the opportunity to learn life skills such as healthy relationships, self care, the importance of community, and work readiness - within the context of a warm, supportive, caring mentor relationship.  Through OCH’s mentoring program, we are committed to assuring that our children are well prepared to be independent, successful citizens.
